Without Spot or Blemish
Jesus is coming for a bride without spot or blemish. We are that bride.
But now He has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in His sight, without blemish and free from accusation - if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. Colossians 1:22,23b
Through His own body, Jesus was able to present each of us holy in His sight, without blemish and free from accusation. Again, this is something that was done for you - an act of love on your behalf. The Apostle Paul drew an analogy in Ephesians in order to paint a word picture of Jesus act of love for us.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
Ephesians 5:25-27
How do you receive this provision? You receive it by faith.
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Romans 10:17 KJV
He cleanses each of us by the washing with water through the word. Speak these scriptures about what Jesus has done for you over and over.
Confession: I am holy, without blemish, and free from accusation (beyond reproach) because of what Jesus did for me through the sacrifice of His own body at Calvary.
God Made Us Alive
When did God make you alive with Christ and forgive you all your sins?
When you were dead in your sins and in the un-circumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.
Colossians 2:13,14 NIV
God made you alive when you were dead in your sins and while you were still in your sinful nature. In other words, He did it without any help from any of us! We were not saved; we were not even born yet. What could we do?
