A LOVE STORY
To be able to receive the perfect love God has for you in Jesus, you must understand why He could love you, or how you could be worthy to receive His love.
The bible is a love story about Jesus and you. All that He did on Calvary was in order to have an intimate love relationship with you. Sin and unrighteousness in you - and in all the rest of us - kept you separated from Him, but His love could not be stopped. Mark 15:37,38 (amp) describes Him on the cross:
And Jesus uttered a loud cry, and breathed out His life.
And the curtain {of the Holy of Holies} of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.
When that curtain was torn in half, everything that stood between mankind and Jesus was removed. Jesus sacrificed His life to remove it. There is nothing that now stands between mankind and Jesus as a separation.
Hebrews 10:10, quoted earlier, is saying that Jesus, in accordance with His Father's will, chose to sacrifice His body to make us holy once and for all. Every born again person is holy in Jesus. That qualifies each of us to be worthy of His love.
Confession: Jesus sacrificed His body to make me holy. That sacrifice was sufficient. Therefore, I am holy in Jesus
Cleansed and Perfected
What a tremendous love Jesus has for us. Not only are we made holy by the sacrifice of His body, but we are forever cleansed and perfected by that single offering of Himself. IT IS FINISHED (John 19:30). He has done it once and for all.
For by a single offering He has forever completely cleansed and perfected those who are consecrated and made holy. Hebrews 10:14 AMP
That is good news! You do not have to strive to be spiritual enough for God. Jesus already has done a completed work to make you holy, perfected, and cleansed. Now you can respond with joy and thanksgiving for what He has done. It is His work, not yours or any other human being's. And His work is finished.
Confession: Thank you, Jesus that you have forever cleansed and perfected me. It is finished. You have done it.
